2020 Saakaciweeta at Home

Sunrise with plant sprouting and Saakaciweeta title

The term Saakaciweeta means “emerge” and is used to define this age group of six to nine year olds as they begin their journey in the Myaamia community. Saakaciweeta began in 2015 in order to engage younger children in learning about their language and heritage.

If you have any questions, please contact the Saakaciweeta Program Director, Jessie Seddelmeyer, at baldwijn@miamioh.edu.

Our virtual community celebration will take place via Zoom on July 30, 2020 at 6 pm EDT/5 pm CDT.
