What’s New with Aacimotaatiiyankwi?

We are excited about these changes and look forward to sharing with you!

Home Page

If you haven’t already noticed, we have completely changed the look of Aacimotaatiiyankwi: A Myaamia Community Blog this week!

Instead of a list of all of our latest blog posts, you’ll now see a featured content slider where we’ll be highlighting blog posts (new and old). Below this slider will be pinned blog posts as well as our other recent posts. Each of these posts will now be accompanied by an image.

Searching for Blog Posts

The bottom of our website now has several ways to search our blog posts. You can use the dropdown menus to search by category or month and year in the archives. We have also included a search bar that will make finding past posts easier.

New Pages

We’ve added several new pages to make navigation easier!

Our first new page is the Lunar Months page. You can find it under Ecology in the top menu. This page features images and links to information on each month featured in Myaamia Kiilhsooki ‘Myaamia Lunar Calendar.’ Don’t worry, you can still navigate to the lunar month pages from the Ecology page, too!

Under Education, you can now find the new Education Resources page. This is where we are putting links to our language and culture learning content. As new materials and resources become available, this is where they’ll be added.

We’ve also added a contact page to make getting in touch with us even easier. You can find it under About in the top menu.

Page Organization

All of our pages received a little bit of maintenance, but some of them underwent more major reorganization.

You can now navigate to the Myaamia Kiilhsooki ‘Myaamia Lunar Calendar’ page or Lunar Months page from the menu at the top of your screen. These pages are also linked on the Ecology page.

The Family page containing our genealogy articles can now be found under History on the top menu and linked on the History page.

Our Education page now has links to our Language and Education Resources pages. It also features a blog feed that will show the latest education blog posts. A similar feed appears on the Language page featuring language blog posts.

Social Media

Our social media presence has grown since Aacimotaatiiyankwi was started. You can now find links to our social media accounts at the bottom of our website. We have links to the Myaamia Center Facebook page, Eemamwiciki Instagram, Eemamwiciki Twitter, and Eemamwiciki Facebook page.
