12th Day of Buck Moon (2018)
’12 ayaapia kiilhswa (2018)’

Today it’s a little cold (44) and cloudy in the Great Miami River Valley. Tonight, it’s going to snow.
‘noonki kaahkiihkwe tikawi neepanki (44) aalhkwahki ahsenisiipionki. noonki peehkonteeki kati manetwa piihsaaci.’

Tonight, the Buck Moon is full (waxing).
‘noonki peehkonteeki waawiyiisita ayaapia kiilhswa (keešaakosita).’

What’s the weather like where you’re at?
‘taaniši kiišikatwi niiyaaha apiyani?’

Let me try to translate “south of the mountains along the snake river it’s warm (over 38 degrees).” Is that correct?

If so, I have one small suggestion. awipiteewi is for food or other objects that you touch. If you want to express that the weather is a little warm – “tikawi ceeliteeki” or “nipansiinwi” (not cold). neewe!

Yes, that is exactly what I meant.
